Abuse

Abuse is more than physical violence. It can be overt or subtle and take many different formats. It involves the use of power by one person over another.

Abuse can affect everyone regardless of race, social standing, age, gender or sexuality. At The Eaves, we have hoped to identify some of the issues you might class as abuse – please refer to the list in the lilac-coloured box above. This list is not exclusive or exhaustive and we urge you to call us to discuss your own specific requirements and how we might start to help you discover a life free from abuse.
