I am an experienced chartered clinical psychologist working with adults in private practice and draw upon knowledge and experience of working clinically in NHS settings for over 15 years.
I have been working in GP surgeries (IAPT Services) in the region for over 6 years providing assessments and brief therapeutic interventions for individuals who might visit their GPs and ask for help with a range of problems including anxiety, depression, anger, phobias, loss and adjustment post traumatic stress disorder and eating difficulties. I work in a collaborative way to help reach a shared understanding of an individual’s difficulties and to consider the most effective way of working together.
In addition, I have extensive experience of working with very complex needs, having worked in adult community mental health teams, personality disorder services and forensic settings. As a result I have interests in working with adults who find it difficult to engage with therapy, those who fail to progress in therapy, individuals with trauma histories or those who engage in impulsive behaviours.
Aside from private practice and work in GP surgeries, I currently provide psychological consultancy services to Mental Health Inreach Teams in some Surrey prisons. I undertake assessments, court work, treatment, supervision, team consultation, training and service development.
