Jeannette Bayliss

BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist

Whether you’re going through a tough time or need a space to reflect on your life, it’s often worth talking things through with someone. I offer a confidential, calm and supportive service. I am able to deal with difficult emotions, I listen deeply, and can help unpick complex issues.

My main training and approach is psychodynamic. That means I believe, for instance, that unconscious processes have a big influence on how we are with others and how we experience ourselves. Understanding our own inner life and relationships better can help us make changes and be more resilient.

Sometimes it’s important to speak to someone who is not in your family or network, and yet it can be difficult to pick up the phone, or even send an email. It takes courage and there are no guarantees. What I can promise is that from the moment you make contact I will treat your concerns with empathy and respect for your individual background and situation.

If you want to find out more, please get in touch and I’m always happy to have a quick no-obligation chat with people considering therapy. Send me an email or leave a message and I’ll get back as soon as I can.

German as well as English spoken.

Experience

I have worked as a counsellor since 2010. I have experience of working in a general counselling service, in student counselling services, and as part of a hospice bereavement support team.

My core training is psychodynamic. However, I continue to pursue my own professional development and my work is also influenced by other approaches.
