As a psychodynamic psychotherapist I offer a safe place to talk.
I will help you to consider the ways in which your past and present come together, and how long-standing difficulties may cause you to repeat certain unhelpful patterns and may be preventing you from moving forward.
Working together with a psychodynamic therapist allows for the things that make you unhappy to be considered in the context of the here and now as well as in light of past experiences.
I have worked with adults of all ages who have had a wide range of issues. These have included:
Depression and anxiety
Separation and divorce
Long term effects of Boarding School
Coming to terms with major life changes such as diagnosis of illness, changing work environment or children leaving home
Low self-esteem – particularly related to body image and weight issues
The Psychological effects of Bariatric Surgery
Grief and loss
