Lisa Fairhead - Profile

As a Relational Psychotherapist/Counsellor, with over 15 years of training and experience behind me, I specialise in working with Couples and Individuals; focussing on communication, intimacy, infidelity, couple and personal growth. Together we will challenge the difficult issues and unhelpful patterns of behaviour that we can develop throughout our lives.

I understand how ‘life’ can impact our relationships with intimate partners, family and work colleagues and we can often feel unprepared or deskilled to manage them. So, my aim is to help you identify, understand and manage these issues and to bring an awareness to new perspectives and choices. I offer you a warm, non-judgemental and safe environment in which you can talk freely and work together to bring about realistic and lasting changes that are in your best interest and also lead you to a healthier emotional life.

Following a 15 year career in the film and corporate communications industry, I retrained as a relational psychotherapist and counsellor. Alongside my private practice, providing counselling to individuals and couples, I gained over 12 years of experience working with Relate.

My training includes an Advanced Diploma in Couple Counselling and Masters in Relational Psychotherapy and Counselling.  Working effectively and ethically is important to me and as a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), I adhere to the BACP code of Ethics.  My work is regularly supervised and I keep up to date with developments in the therapeutic field. I regularly attend courses and other continued professional development training seminars to support my work as a therapist.
