Lucie Howell

I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 10 years. Counselling is a safe space to explore emotional problems. Human life is complex and problems are often an intricate mixture of interwoven dynamics. If stress can do so much harm it is no surprising finding inner peace can do so much good. Counselling can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and enable you to be a better communicator with people that really matter to you.

As well as my private practice I work as a school counsellor in two schools, Lord Wandsworth College and Aldro Prep School.   I have experience of working in a busy GP Surgery with a wide range of psychological and mental health issues.

Before training as a counsellor and having my own family I worked for 10 years as a magazine journalist, my last permanent job was Health and Beauty Editor on “Sugar” magazine, a teenage magazine for young girls. As well as writing and styling the beauty pages I regularly mentored our young readers. This gave me an understanding of the many factors and influences that affect young people today and I feel passionate about the positive benefit counselling can have for young people and their families.
