Hello and welcome to my profile page.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and offer both short and long term counselling for adults.

My priority is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for you to explore any problems or concerns you may have.

My nursing background and counselling work has given me experience in a broad range of issues.

I have over 14 years’ experience working with addiction as a Registered Nurse, both overseas and in NHS sector. I am currently an Addiction Counsellor working for Catalyst, a Drug and Alcohol Addiction Service (formerly known as SAdAS). As a practising Addiction Counsellor, I provide support for people dealing with a wide range of addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling,  shopping etc.) and also for their families, carers and concerned friends. I am very experienced in Relapse Prevention.

I have experience counselling people suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, depression, anger issues (including aggressive behaviour and offending), low self-esteem, lack of confidence, lack of identity, stress, bereavement, relationship issues and trauma.

I also have experience working with issues surrounding Domestic Abuse. I was employed by the local Domestic Abuse Service to provide counselling for those suffering from Domestic Abuse.

I have provided counselling for young homeless females at risk during my employment at a local hostel and I also worked as a counsellor with young people at the Homeless Charity Step By Step.

In addition I have training and experience facilitating and co-facilitating therapy group sessions while under the employment at the NHS Detox and Therapy Unit covering topics including: Relapse Prevention, Stress Management, Anger Management, Anxiety Management, Self- Awareness and Assertiveness.
